Larcha bridge collapses
KAVRE: Larcha bridge over the Bhotekoshi River along the Barhabise-Tatopani road section in Sindhupalchowk has been damaged due to a landslide.
The 70m long dilapidated bridge gave in on Sunday after a huge mass of earth and boulders struck it following a landslide in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality. Transportation to Tatopani has been disrupted following collapse of the bridge, which linked Tatopani and Fulpingkatti. Tatopani border connected Nepal with China.
According to DSP Shyamkrishna Adhikari at the District Police Office, contact with China has been lost after the collapse. “As there was no human settlement near the bridge, no human casualty was reported,” he said.
