LAMJUNG: A leopard strayed into a human settlement in Bhoteodar town of Lamjung district on Thursday and injured five.

Gopal Dauliya and Ramesh Pariyar from Sundar Bazaar-3 and Bharat Tamang from Sundar Bazaar-4 of the district were injured.

Likewise, ASI Gol Kumar Shrestha, currently deployed at the Bhoteodar Area Police Office, and a wage worker Chhabilal Budhathoki from Sharada Nagar-7 of Salyan district were also injured.

The four except Shrestha are undergoing treatment at the District Community Hospital whereas Shrestha is receiving the medical attention at the Siundibar-based Marsyangdi Medical.

The doctors attending to them said all are out of danger.

The big cat had entered the market area at around 10:45 am today, according to local police.

They said the leopard had entered the human settlement from an adjacent forest, where it returned to after a couple of hours.
