LAMJUNG: Two persons died and another was injured after they were struck by a bolt of lightning in Lamjung district on Saturday evening.

The deceased are Som Bahadur Gurung (42) and Kali Gurung (52) of Karapu, Madhya Nepal Municipallity-8, informed Amrit Tamang, a resident.

After the lightning strike, the severely injured passed away while being taken to a hospital.

Though the injured has not been identified yet, he is reported to have regained consciousness after two hours.

Seven goats and two oxen were also killed in the incident.

DSP Samir Chandra Kharel at the District Police Office said that police personnel have been dispatched to the incident site on Sunday morning.
