DHANKUTA: A man died after lightening struck him in Chhintang of Dhankuta district on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Bhakta Bahadur Thapa (54) of Pataldanda of Chhintang-6, according to the District Police Office, Dhankuta.

The incident took place when the lightning struck him when he was working in the cattlefield. Thapa died on the spot.

Similarly, Dayaram Thapa, son of the deceased, who fell unconscious due to lightning, gained conscious after five hours.
