KATHMANDU: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) will be increasing the weekly power-cut from the existing 51 to 63 hours with effect from January 17. The NEA has cited depleting water levels in major hydel projects as the reason for the fresh move. Valley denizens will now have to bear nine hours of power cut a day.
