Local levels in Bajura left without staffers

The government has concluded civil servant adjustment process, but this has left the local levels in Bajura without staffers.

Nine local levels have been facing staff crunch as the existing staffers left for their new workplace after adjustment.

Khaptad Chhededaha Rural Municipality Chair Nar Bahadur Rawal said they were facing a hard time providing services to service seekers after the employees left the offices. Chief Administrative Officer Dambar Thapa Magar is the only employee at the rural municipality office at present. First class non-gazetted officer Kamman Singh Kunwar was posted at Mahakali Municipality and second class non-gazetted officer Sanjeev Chaudhary was transferred to Belauri Municipality.

The rural municipality with seven wards does not have even a single ward secretary.

Likewise, Gaumul Rural Municipality just has a first class non-gazetted officer. “The rural municipality is run by a single staffer after Chief Administrative Officer Tanka Khanal was transferred.

Gaumul Ward No 1 Ward Chair Bal Bahadur Rokaya said his rural municipality did not have even a single ward secretary.

Jagannath Rural Municipality chief executive officer was transferred to his home district Gulmi. The rural municipality had Gokarna Bista as secretary. After his transfer, the rural municipality has no secretary. Rural Municipality Chair Dabal BK said they were facing problem making payment for the development projects after the only assistant accountant of the rural municipality was also transferred.

“The rural municipality had four employees, but all of them have been transferred,” said BK.
