It has been more than six months since local bodies came into operation but as many 16 local level offices have yet to update their websites in Bara district.

Offices of Nijgad, Kolhabi and Mahagadhi municipalities, among other municipalities, do not have required information on their websites and these websites have not been updated for a long time.

However the website of Pheta Rural Municipality has all the necessary information. Websites of rural municipality offices do not even have any information about population, geographical feature, voters and map of the concerned rural municipality.

Website of Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan City still shows Kalaiya as municipality even though it was declared a sub-metropolitan city before two years.

Jitpur Simara Sub-metropolitan City Mayor Krishna Poudel said the website of the office was not updated as the office did not have any IT officer. “The process to appoint IT Officers is under way and the website pages would be updated soon,” he added. Executive Officer at Karaiyamai Rural Municipality Aamod Chaudhary said the office had not updated  its website due to lack of skilled manpower.
