Four people were killed during the clashes which took place between the local people and Maoist terrorists at ward no. 5 of Bisanpurwa Bhanpur Village Development Committee (VDC) Saturday morning.

According to the district police office, the clashes took place after the Maoist terrorists attacked the house of VDC chairman Shanker Yadav.

Suraj Yadav and Sikander Yadav were killed on the spot while the body of only one of the two terrorists killed in the clashes have been recovered from the site. The body of the other terrorist is believed to have been carried away by the terrorists.

Mahendra Raya Yadav and Mahendra Prasad Yadav, who were seriously injured by the terrorists during the encounter, are undergoing treatment at Narayani sub-regional hospital.
