Locals have obstructed the East-West Highway at Jhurjhure of Rapti Municipality-3 of Chitwan district demanding a fair investigation into Sujata Bhandari's case, on Monday.
Sujata (23), of Rapti Municipality-3, who was out of contact from June 25 was found dead at Bramhasthani Community Forest on Sunday evening.
The incident site is located some four kilometres away from the deceased's house.
The locals have obstructed the road from 10:00 am. They have also obstructed an ambulance that was headed towards Bharatpur Hospital carrying Sujata's body for postmortem.
Security personnel including the Chief of the District Police Office, Chitwan, Om Prakash Adhikari are at the incident site.
Mayor of Rapti Municipality, Prabha Baral, has been facilitating to transport the body to the hospital for postmortem after locals obstructed the ambulance carrying Sujata's body.
Chief District Officer Prem Lal Lamichhane said efforts are underway to resume the traffic after conducting discussion with locals.
