Lockout at Hetauda Cement Factory on

Hetauda, January 13:

Agitating workers of Hetauda Cement Factory today continued sit-in at the factory, asking the management to meet their demands. Some 200 workers have padlocked its main gate and are staging sit-in from 9 am to 5 pm.

The workers have been demanding an end to contract system, guarantee of social security for old employees, and permanent appointment for those who have not crossed the age bar. Meanwhile, the management said it was not in a position to meet the workers’ demands.
