Lumbini provincial government has started investment dialogue in its districts in a bid to make the investment summit fruitful. Minister of Finance and Cooperatives of Lumbini Province Krishna Dhoj Khadka said dialogue and discussion had been initiated to collect suggestions of industrialists and entrepreneurs of the districts as a preparation for the investment summit. Speaking at an investment dialogue programme organised in Nepalgunj today, Minister Khadka mentioned that the investment summit was going to be organised with the objective of making the province self-dependent and creating entrepreneurship and employment after identifying the problems of industries that were in operation in the province.

The Lumbini Province government, with the collaboration of federal and local government, has been carrying out activities to create environment where Nepali citizens can get employment in the country by prioritising tourism, agriculture and industry in order to make Lumbini Province self-dependent.

Similarly, vice-chair of Lumbini Province Planning Commission Bamdev Chhetri opined that preparation had been made to organise investment summit after holding investment dialogue with industrialists and entrepreneurs of all the districts of the province in different phases.

Secretary at the Ministry Netra Prasad Subedi shared that preparation was under way to organise Lumbini Investment Summit in January, 2023, bringing in investment in four-five projects.

President of Nepalgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abdul Wahid Mansuri, former executive chief of the Investment Board Rajesh Panta, Chief District Officer of Banke Surya Bahadur Khatri, industrialists and entrepreneurs of different districts, among others, talked about the investment summit.
