BHOJPUR: CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has said timely elections at local, provincial and federal levels were must for the effective implementation of Constitution.

He urged all the political parties to forge consensus to conduct timely polls.

Senior leader Nepal said the Constitution was popular as it was endorsed by an overwhelming majority of lawmakers.

He was speaking at a programme organised by the CPN-UML Constituency-2 Committee in Itahari of Sunsari district on Friday.

The former Prime Minister further said the elections would help to ease off all complexities of the charter.

Nepal also expressed his belief that the current Constitution would help Nepalis empower themselves as it was written by them.

He further said all political parties should be loyal towards the people for the development and prosperity of Nepal.
