PATHARI: The agitating Madhesi cadres vandalised an ambulance and beat up its driver in Morang district on Wednesday.

The ambulance (Ko 1 Cha 7379), operated by the Rangeli Savings and Cooperatives Limited, was intercepted at Karsiya Bazaar in Sorabhag VDC-3, Morang and vandalised by a group of around 20 people.

They also physically assaulted the driver, Santosh Chaudhary, according to District Police Office Morang.

DSP Pramod Kharel at the Office said injured driver Chaudhary is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Biratnagar.
