DHANUSHA: The Madhes-based leaders of the UCPN-Maoist held an informal meeting in Janakpur on whether they would join the party's central committee meeting.

The meeting attended by Maoist leaders Ram Chandra Jha, Mahendra Paswan, Ram Rijhan Yadav, Ram Kumar Sharma, Ghanashyam Yadav and others, however, remained divided on the decision to participate in the party's central committee meeting.

Some leaders including Ram Kumar Sharma insisted on not attending the central committee meeting beginning on Sunday.

He has already tendered his resignation to Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

However, some leaders suggested for consulting the party leadership and attend the meeting this time.
