BIRGUNJ: Protesting parties based in Madhes on Wednesday formed a human chain along the Postal Highway to further pressurise the government to meet their demands.

The parties have claimed that as many as 1.5 million people participated in the protest programme to form 1,100-km human chain.

They had staged protests along the Highway for around an hour this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato joined the protest programme in Birgunj of Parsa.

Addressing his cadres, Mahato said the current protest would be the last and concluding protest for rights of Madhesis.
