KATHMANDU: A teenager died on the spot after being hit by a truck at Tuteshwar Chok in Bardibas Municipality-5 of Mahottari district on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as 16-year-old Sachin Thakur, a son of local Chandra Kishor Thakur.

The incident occurred after the truck (Na 6 Kha 3712) heading towards Sarlahi district from Baridbas knocked Thakur at Tuteshwar Chok along the East-West Highway last night, informed police.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the heavy vehicle and arrested its driver for further investigation.
