GAUSHALA: A widower died after consuming poison in Dhirapur VDC of Mahottari district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Jivach Das (60) of Dhirapur VDC-5, informed the Mahottari District Police Office.

Das, who was mourning after his wife died a few days ago, consumed pesticide and it killed him, Superintendent of Police (SP) Janak Bhattarai added.

A neighbour had rushed Das to the Jaleshwor-based District Hospital after he fell sick. But, Das breathed his last on the way. His body has been kept at the hospital for autopsy.
