MAHOTTARI: A woman was killed after being hit by a motorcycle in Ramgopalpur VDC of Mahottari district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as local resident Deviya Maya Mandal (45).

Mandal, injured in the incident, was rushed to a local Janakalyan Medical, then referred to the Janakpur Zonal Hospital for further treatment.

However, she breathed her last on the way there, police said.

The body has been sent to the Mahottari District Hospital for an autopsy, police added.

Police have impounded the vehicle and arrested the driver for further investigation.
