GAUSHALA: A youth succumbed to injuries after he fell off a moving bus along the Jaleshwor-Bardibas road section at Bagewa-9 in Mahottari district, on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Shiva Narayan Chaudhary (30) of Sonamai-7 in the district, informed the Mahottari District Police Office.

According to police, Chaudhary had sustained injuries on his head after he fell from the bus (Ja 1 Kha 774), which was travelling to Bardibas from Jaleshwor.

Injured Chaudhary breathed his last while he was being rushed to the Janakpur Zonal Hospital after receiving primary treatment at the Jaleshwor Primary Health Care, added Police Inspector Rabindra Khanal of the DPO.

The body has been kept at the District Hospital in Jaleshwor for postmortem.

Police have impounded the vehicle and are searching for the absconding driver.
