Nepal Police has requested everyone to abide by the health and safety protocols set by the government to contain the further spread of the COVID-19 infection while celebrating Holi.
It has also directed all 77 district police offices to enforce security measures and inspect whether the safety protocol is being implemented.
Spokesperson of Nepal Police, Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, said, "Government has already reminded people to observe Holi festival by staying indoors and avoiding gathering. In this context, all security offices across districts have been urged to maintain security accordingly."
The Ministry of Health and Population has already cautioned the people that the second wave of Coronavirus infection could spread in Nepal too because it has already hit countries including India, Britain, France and others.
