CHITWAN: Police arrested a truck driver with 52.5 kg marijuana from Lothar of Rapti Municipality in Chitwan district on Sunday.

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the truck driver was carrying seven packets of the illegal drug by hiding them in his truck (Na 2 Kha 7199).

The arrested driver was Bibek Lama of Namtar -7 of Makawanpur district.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Sikendra Sah of the District Police Office had arrested the driver and impounded the truck.
