Make Rayamajhi report public, demand MPs

Kathmandu, December 15:

Members of Parliament (MP) today demanded to make public the report prepared by the High-Level Investigation Commission headed by former Supreme Court Justice Krishna Jung Rayamajhi and immediately implement it.

UML MP Ishwor Pokhrel called to make public the Rayamajhi report. He also said that the King cannot be the head of the state as he has been accused in the report for suppressing the Jana Andolan-II. “He will pose a hurdle for any change needed in the country if he enjoys the power of the head of the state,” Pokhrel added.

NC MP Umakanta Chaudhary and Nepal Sadhawana Party MP Rajendra Mahato also urged to implement the Rayamajhi Panel report and to take action against those involved in suppressing people.

RPP MP Govinda Bikram Shah demanded to set up a panel to probe into the murder of MP Krishna Charan Shrestha. NC MP Shiv Kumar Basnet lashed out at the government for failing to maintain law and order in the country.
