DHADING: A man died and a woman was left injured when a bus collided head-on with a motorcycle.

The bus (Ba 3 Kha 83950) en route to Kathmandu from Dhading hit the motorcycle (Ba 36 Pa 8357) at Thakre on Sunday at 8:00 am, police said.

Fifty-five-year-old Narayan Kaji Bhandari of Gajuri Rural Municipality died on the spot and pillion rider Dhan Kumari Bhandari (48) has been taken to Kathmandu after primary treatment at Dharke Hospital.

Locals obstructed the highway for a short time following the incident. But the highway is back online, Area Police Office informed.

Meanwhile, law enforcement officers have detained the bus driver and impounded the vehicle.
