ROLPA: A man was found dead at the Jankot-1, Madichaur in Rolpa district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Kirtiman Pun (41) of Nimri, Korchawang-5 in the district, informed DSP Ram Prasad Gharti Magar of the District Police Office, Rolpa.

Magar had gone to bed after having dinner like everyone else on Saturday night. But at midnight, he sleepwalked and went outside the house.

Upon search, his body was found in a stream, four km away from his house this morning.

Police said they are investigating into the incident.

His body has been kept at the District Health Office for autopsy.

According to the family members, Pun, who was suffering from mental illness for the past three years, had started experiencing frequent episodes of mental instability lately, DSP Magar added.
