GAUR: Rautahat police have arrested a man in possession of one-kilogram gold from bus park area in Gaur Municipality on Friday.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Bhupendra Bahadur Khatri, police made public the alleged gold smuggler and seized four yellow metal bars at the District Police Office, this afternoon.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team deployed under the command of Police Inspector Papu Nayak had apprehended Anukesh Kumar Sah (21) of Gaur Municipality-5 in the district, while frisking his motorbike (Lu 4 Pa 5803) in the wee hours today.

SP Khatri further said that preparations are underway to hand over Sah and other seized items to the Revenue Investigation Office, Pathalaiya, in Bara.

Meanwhile, further investigation is underway.
