BAJURA, OCTOBER 22

Man Bahadur Rawal, 45, of Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality, Bajura, is struggling for life due to lack of treatment expenses.

Man Bahadur has been receiving treatment at Kathmandu-based National Trauma Centre. He was injured after a truck loaded with apples met with an accident at Chhinchumasya in Surkhet.

The truck was heading towards Kathmandu from Bajura.

Rawal's backbone was fractured in the accident.

Doctors said Man Bahadur needed immediate surgery and therapy.

The trauma centre has provided some facilities to Man Bahadur. The patient's relatives said medicines and other expenses were needed for the same. They said Man Bahadur belonged to an impoverished family. "He has no money even to buy a bottle of water," they said.

Locals said Man Bahadur neither took the apples to the destination nor was he in good health.
