Phidim, May 15

District Court Panchthar sentenced Dik Bahadur Mukhiya to 10 years in prison for involvement in killing his wife today.

A single bench of district judge Manoj Kumar KC issued the verdict. Mukhiya has been sent to Panchthar District Court. Mukhiya of Phidim Municipality had murdered his wife and buried her in a potato field three months ago. The next day, Mukhiya himself had reported at the police post in Pauwabhanjyang saying his wife had gone missing.

Police had arrested Mukhiya after finding his activities suspicious.
