A man stabbed his father and uncle to death with a wooden stick at Baliyagaun of Lamkichuha Municipality-4, Kailali, last night.

According to Area Police Office, Lamki, 21-year-old Jaharilal Chaudhary stabbed his father Chakra Tharu, 55 and his uncle Paltu Tharu, 60 with a wooden stick. Police personnel deployed from Area Police Office, Lamki, had caught Jaharilal from the incident site the same night. Dil Bahadi Devi Chaudhary, mother of the accused, was injured in the incident. She has received head injuries and is receiving treatment at Lalratna Hospital Lamki.

A preliminary police investigation showed that Jaharilal had shut the door and attacked his father, uncle and mother with the stick after the culprit’s wife was sent to her maternal home without informing him. “An investigation into the incident is under way,” police said.
