KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 17
The Manakamana Cable Car, Nepal's first passenger cable car linking Chitwan's Cheres station with the famed Manakamana temple in Gorkha, resumed operations today after a one-week closure.
The service had been suspended on September 25 following the Gen Z protests.
During the downtime, routine maintenance was carried out, according to the cable car office.
The resumption ensures devotees and tourists can again travel smoothly to the hilltop pilgrimage site.
