Efforts underway to bring the remaining two injured to the capital
KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 26
One of the critically injured climbers in Mt Manaslu avalanche has died.
According to Gorkha Police, the deceased has been identified as Anup Rai.

As many as 12 climbers were injured when an avalanche struck them just below Camp IV of Mt Manaslu. Of them, five were severely injured.
Two from among the five injured have been evacuated from Camp III and brought to Kathmandu, while efforts are underway to airlift the remaining two to the capital.
The two injured - from Seven Summit Treks and Imagine Nepal - are undergoing treatment at Karuna Hospital and their condition is stable.
​​Persistently bad weather throughout the day had hampered land and air rescue efforts.
Helicopters have been put on standby at Samagaun in the region.
