Maoist victims stage sit-in

Kathmandu, February 17:

The National Struggle Committee of the victims of Maoists’ Atrocities today staged a one-hour sit-in protest in front of the residence of Prime Minister at Baluwatar to draw attention of the government to their problems.

The protesters chanted slogans against Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula, seeking his resignation.

“The Home Minister should resign because the government has overlooked our problems,” said Bhojraj Timilsina, co-ordinator of the he NSC.

“We will see how the government responds to our demand or else we have to launch more protest programmes,” said Kalyan Budhathoki, one of the central committee members of the NSC.
