Maoists collecting pressure cookers from Banke locals

Nepalgunj, June 10:

Maoists have started collecting pressure cookers, domestic weapons and even tilling tools from VDCs across Rapti river in Banke. They have taken khukuris, sickles and pressure cookers . While the Maoists are seizing all domestic weapons, villagers are left with no equipment even to till their land. Maoists took Top Bahadur Gupta’s equipment two weeks ago and have not returned them. Locals said Maoists have taken all the pressure cookers from the area leaving not even a single one in the kitchens. Maoists have started to collect pressure cookers after the government banned import of cookers to rural parts of the country.
