Nepalgunj, March 11:

The Maoists detonated a powerful bomb at the Zonal Transport Office situated at Surkhet Road in front of the Nepalgunj municipality office last night. The peon of the office was injured while the office building suffered damages.

Peon Shankar Bahadur Thapa was sleeping at his quarters in the office premises at the time of the blast. Thapa is undergoing treatment at the Bheri Zonal Hospital, police said. All the office documents were destroyed.

Meanwhile, an unclaimed body was found at the Ranjha Chowk in front of Nepalgunj Airport. Eyewitnesses said that the body was there since last night.
