Maoists trying to ruin UML: Oli

TIKAPUR: CPN-UML standing committee member, Khadga Prasad Oli, today accused the UCPN-Maoist of trying to “ruin” his party.

Inaugurating the First Regional Conference of CPN-UML Kailali Area no 2 at Lamki, vocal critic of the main opposition, Oli said, “Though the CPN-UML is trying to bring the UCPN-Maoist — the ultra leftist and anarchic party — in government by rectifying its unruly behaviour, the Maoists are hell-bent on sabotaging the CPN-UML.”

CPN-UML Leader Oli said that the main opposition was trying to impose its one-party dictatorship in the country by creating anarchy and impunity in the name of revolutionary changes. Stating that Nepali people have been fighting

for peace and democracy

for centuries, CPN-UML

leader Oli suggested on the national unity and consensus among the political parties

to help sail the country safely out of the prolonging transitional period.

The influential CPN-UML leader Oli accused the UCPN-Maoist of not being serious towards institutionalising the sentiments of the second people’s movement.

He further said that the CPN-UML was leading the democracy with justice and social and economic development is the need of Nepali people.

He also opined that there was no alternative to making the new constitution on the stipulated time despite facing obstacles and hurdles.
