Maoists’ round-table meet starts

Dipayal, October 10:

Seti-Mahakali three-day round-table conference organised by the Maoist-affiliated Seti-Mahakali Rastriya Mukti Morcha (SMRMM) kicked off in Dipayal today.

The conference is dwelling on the structure of federal system and proportional representation of all groups, sectors and ethic communities.

Altogether 255 participants from nine districts of the Far West are attending the closed session, the organisers said. Representatives of political parties, civil society, Dalits and Janajatis are participating in the conference, SMRMM member Khem Bam said, adding Seti-Mahakali Revolutionary People’s Council will be formed after the conference. Participants are delving into the five-point proposal presented by Seti-Mahakali Rajya Samiti (SMRS) secretary Khagaraj Bhatt today.

The conference will also draft the model of structure for governing system in Seti-Mahakali region, SMRS in-charge Kul Prasad KC said.
