Market monitoring intensified in Jajarkot

Jajarkot, October 5

Keeping in view the upcoming festive season, local administration has expedited monitoring of markets and public transport in Jajarkot.

DAO has started market monitoring in collaboration with Jajarkot chapter of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other stakeholders in a bid to stop possible black-marketing and sale of date-expired goods.

Jajarkot CDO Lalit Kumar Basnet said monitoring of the market and public transport that started from Khalanga would be carried out in the major markets of the district.

During the monitoring, date-expired goods were found at different shops. Similarly, many shops were found to be running without registration.

According to CDO Basnet, many shops had faced action and a large amount of date-expired goods were seized. “We have launched market monitoring to stop black-marketing, to check sale of date-expired food items and stop transporters from fleecing the passengers during the festivals,” he added.
