Kathmandu, June 8:

Minister of Forest and Soil Conservation Matrika Prasad Yadav has promised action against those involved in encroaching on a community forest land in Dangia Village Development Committee (VDC) in Morang district.

“Minister Yadav has promised to take action against land mafia involved in encroaching

the Sirjana Community Forest (SCF),” SCF Secretary Krishna Humagain said today.

Humagain today submitted a memorandum to Minister Yadav in the capital. Alleged land mafia had on May 30 cleared a section of the community forest. It claimed it had a Supreme Court verdict regarding the land in its favour.
