Matrika Yadav dashes hopes on seized properties
Birgunj, January 2:
CPN-Maoist leader Matrika Yadav has said that his party would not be accountable for seized property as the people, not his party, had taken under control private land and houses.
He, however, claimed that the held property would by no means be returned.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Revolutionary Journalists’ Association, Parsa, here today, he said that any forceful intervention to return the property would result in people’s revolt and that he would fully support it.
“Armed rebellion is imminent if there is any move to displace people from their shelter”, Yadav said, “I, being a people’s servant, will not hesitate to lead the rebellion for their rights.”
Referring to the prime minister’s disappointing remarks at the government’s performance, he questioned, “What will the people expect when the PM himself gives such remarks?”
Expressing dissatisfaction at the activities of the Madhesi parties, he said the people in the Madhes were being cheated by the Madhesi leaders themselves.
“Except one or two armed outfits in Tarai, others are extorting money. There is no reason to hold talks with them,” Yadav said.
