Media experts stress watch dog role over economic activities at local level

BUTWAL: The media experts have underscored the need for the media persons to remain watchful on the economic activities at local level in the changed context.

At an interaction programme organised by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) in coordination with the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Rupandehi Chapter in Butwal on Wednesday, FNJ's former President Suresh Acharya urged the media persons to be aware of development goals.

Similarly, another FNJ former President Shiva Gaunle asked the media persons to prod the concerned authorities about the utility of the state coffer.

In attendance at the programme were SEJON Vice-Chair Kuber Chalise and press advisor to the Prime Minister Govinda Acharya among other journalists who voiced their opinions on the role of media persons for better society.
