Rajbiraj, September 30:

Health personnel in Saptari district have declared an indefinite strike from today protesting the act of misbehave against a health personnel in the district.

Their move came after Madhesi Mukti Tigers (MMT) cadres torched the motorcycle of Jibachha Prasad Shah, assistant health worker at District Public Health Office. The MMT cadres had torched Shah’s bike saying that he defied their bandh call.

District chapters of Nepal Physicians’ Organisation, Nepal Nursing Organisation, Health Workers’ Union and other organisations in the district decided to shut health institutions in the district in a joint meeting held here today.
