Chitwan, November 19:

The 12th annual general meeting and the fifth district convention of the Society of Disabled, Chitwan, was organised here today. On the occasion, 32 disabled persons were provided with wheelchairs, crutches and walking sticks. Stationary goods worth Rs 20,000 was handed out to the disabled childeren and scholarships given to four bright but financially weak students. Aid Fund Rakesh Hamal jointly distributed the items to the disabled persons.

Secretary of the Society of Disabled Shova Kandel informed that the wheelchairs, crutches and walking sticks had been provided by the Disabled Aid Fund, the student scholarships were given by Suiro Scholarship Programme, Narayangarh, while the stationary goods had been arranged for by the society itself. Chairman of the Society, Ambika Lal Shrestha, chaired the programme.
