KANCHANPUR: Police in Kanchanpur district on Tuesday night rescued a man who was found lying unconscious in Asaina area of Shuklaphanta Municipality-4.

The man who appeared to be in his 60s was lying unconscious and naked on the ground floor of a deserted wooden house near Pipal Chautara at Achhamitol for the last five days, according to Gyan Bahadur Chhetri, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at Kanchanpur District Police Office.

A team deployed from the Area Police Office, Jhalari rescued the man after the locals informed them about him.

He has been admitted to the Mahakali Zonal Hospital. The man is assumed to be suffering from psychological illness and is said to be in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the security personnel are investigating to identify the man, who speaks in Hindi language.
