RAJBIRAJ: A motorcycle rider died in a road accident in Shambhunath Municipality of Saptari district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Mafroj Miya from Wakdhuwa-4 in Saptari district.

Miya was on his bike (Sa 7 Pa 86) travelling towards the east while he was hit by a microbus without registration number plate travelling towards the opposite direction.

Seriously injured in the accident, Miya had died during his treatment at the Golden Hospital in Biratnagar, police said.

According to a traffic police official Surendra Shrestha, police have impounded the vehicle and arrested the driver, identified as Dipendra Katwal of Inaruwa-9, Sunsari.
