Minister appeals to people to call off stir

Dhangadi, January 20

Minister for Commerce and Supplies Min Biswokarma today said that there was no point in staging protest against the decision to fix temporary provincial headquarters.

Speaking at a press conference organised by Press Union Kailali in Dhangadi, Minister Biswokarma urged the agitators to withdraw their protests launched against the government’s decision to fix the temporary provincial headquarters. “I urge people to withdraw their protests as the provincial capitals fixed by the government are temporary,” Biswokarma stated.

In another context, Bisokarma held that the Nepali Congress would play a role of responsible opposition in the Parliament. Stating that people had given the NC verdict to stay in opposition, Biswokarma said, “NC will play constructive role in the opposition for five years”.

The minister said his party would support the good decisions of the government and warn against the work that might be against national interest.

Minister Biswokarma further argued that the operation of Dhangadi’s Gaurifanta border point and Kanchanpur’s Mahakali border point could take Province 7 on the path of prosperity and progress.
