KATHMANDU, APRIL 9

Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Forests and Environment Geeta Chaudhary conducted an on-site inspection of the Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market.

Acting on complaints regarding poor management at the market, Minister Chaudhary visited Kalimati today to assess the situation firsthand.

During the inspection, it was found that individuals were operating shops in the names of licensed traders by renting permits, according to the Minister's secretariat.

Additionally, several irregularities were identified, including the sale of vegetables without pesticide testing, discrepancies in billing, and the operation of shops without renewal of licences.
