KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 17

Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Transport and Urban Development Kulman Ghising has directed officials to promptly clear and manage vehicles burned during the recent Gen-Z protests from the Singha Durbar premises.

Stating that the charred vehicles made the government complex appear "unsightly," Ghising instructed staff to relocate the wreckage and repaint mildly scorched buildings to signal recovery. "We must not leave the premises looking shabby. Damaged vehicles should be removed and managed quickly to convey a positive message," he said.

The minister also announced plans to launch reconstruction efforts under the "Let Us Build Our Structures Ourselves" campaign, seeking support from the government and Nepalis at home and abroad.

According to the Urban Development Ministry, a taskforce has already begun assessing the extent of the damage to government structures within Singha Durbar.
