Minister greeted with black flags
DHULIKHEL: At least eight persons, three cops and five UCPN-Maoist cadres were injured in a clash in Banepa today.
Police clashed with the Maoist cadres while they waved black flags at Finance Minister Surendra Pandey who had reached there to attend the seventh general convention of Chandeswori Saving and Credit Cooperative Limited. Despite, having reached there through a different route, Minister Pandey couldn't evade the Maoist outrage. The situation at the venue, Araniko Meeting Hall got tensed and APF personnels had to charge batons at the demonstrators.
The demonstrators on their part hurled stones at the security personnels. Police had to fire 10 tear gas shells to take hold of the situation.
