Matrika Yadav stresses need to promote industries

Siraha, December 14

Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supplies Matrika Yadav today stressed the need to promote industries for economic prosperity of the country.

Speaking at a programme at Golbazaar of Siraha, Minister Yadav urged businessmen to invest in setting up industries that would help the country reduce its imports.

“The country won’t progress until we start producing goods inside the country,” Yadav added. He said establishment of industries would generate employment opportunities in the country and help stop the brain drain.

Yadav said Nepal should not only be known as a country exporting workers. “To change this image, jobs should be created within the country and youths should be employed,” Minster Yadav held.

He also pledged to extend all possible support for the establishment of industries in the country.

At the programme, Province 2 Minister of Financial Affairs and Social Development Bijaya Kumar Yadav said federalism was still in a transitional phase and accused the federal government of failing to internalise the federalism.
