Minister Thapa urges parliamentarians to save Dr KC’s life

DHANGADHI: Minister for Health Gagan Thapa has sought cooperation from parliamentarians to save life of Dr Govinda KC who is currently staging fast-unto-death for the ninth time.

Speaking at a press conference in Dhangadhi today, Minister Thapa recalled that he had requested the senior orthopedic surgeon not to stage hunger strike, pledging that he would not allow any wrongdoings in the Ministry of Health.

The 59-year-old bachelor medico, however, recently began ninth hunger strike, citing that his demands relating to the reforms in Nepal’s medical education sector were not addressed.
