BHOJPUR: A minor drowned in Thalaha stream of Aurabani VDC in Sunsari district on Friday.

According to the Eastern Regional Police Office, the two-year-old Smarika Majhi, daughter of Sushil Majhi of Aurabani VDC-9 drowned in the stream while playing.

Police further said that locals had rescued and taken her to Birtanagar-based Nobel Hospital for treatment.

However, she breathed her last while receiving treatment at the hospital, informed police.
